Horikawa, or Hori River, is a 16th Century created river that flows through Nagoya in central Honshu. It is named after Emporer Horikawa of the 10th Centrury. The famous Zen Buddhist “Hundred-Poem Sequence, composed on the spirit of Spring Rain” was presented during this period.
